Whether you are a student getting ready to move out of your property for the summer, or moving out of Bath with your family, be sure to plan ahead and recycle all that you can.
Pack for Good
Each year, from April until July, the Student Community Partnership works with both universities in Bath to promote Pack for Good, a donation campaign supporting the British Heart Foundation. Last year, Bath raised over £150,000 for the British Heart Foundation and over 10,000 bags were donated. This year, look out for the big red bank in your area and donate any unwanted items to charity as you are moving out.
You can find the British Heart Foundation Banks at these locations:
Brook Road- BA2 3RD
West Avenue- BA2 3QE
Victoria Road- BA2 3QY
Oldfield Lane- BA2 3NZ
Canterbury Road- BA2 3LG
Twerton High Street- BA2 1BY
Dartmouth Avenue- BA2 1AS
Julian Road, in front of Lampard Buildings- BA1 2RW
If you have unwanted items that cannot be donated, but can be recycled, take them to Bath’s Recycling Centre. The centre will take bulky items such as electrical equipment, furniture and other materials. Students in Bath do not need a permit to use the Recycling Centre. Staff at the Recycling Centre will accept a valid student ID as proof of residency, so take your student ID card with you. Permanent residents simply need to show proof of residency.
Please note: If you are a student resident and believe that you are unfairly charged any costs after moving out of your property, you can contact the Advice & Representation Centre at the University of Bath SU Students’ Union or Student Housing Services at Bath Spa University for advice.
