The British Heart Foundation donation banks are back in Bath this summer, and the SCP Team has partnered with the charity once again to encourage students to donate their unwanted, good quality clothing and shoes, books, DVDs, CDs, and bric-a-brac.
Pack for Good is back in Bath!

The annual campaign runs from April to September and provides a convenient way for students across the city to recycle any unwanted items as they pack to leave their accommodation at the end of the academic year, whilst also supporting an important charity.
Each year the campaign raises a significant amount of money for the British Heart Foundation, but also diverts huge amounts of potential waste from landfill.
2024’s Donation breakdown:
| University of Bath | 13.8 tonnes diverted from landfill – equivalent to 13,776kg CO2 emissions | £25,830 |
| Bath Spa University | 4.4 tonnes diverted from landfill – equivalent to 4,368kg CO2 emissions | £8,190 |
| B&NES (SCP) | 32.7 tonnes diverted from landfill – equivalent to 32,656kg CO2 emissions | £61,230 |
| Bath total* | 50.9 tonnes diverted from landfill – equivalent to 50,800kg CO2 emissions) | £95,250 |
* includes additional purpose built student accommodation.

Local residents are also encouraged to use the donation points to get rid of any good quality items. To find out where your nearest donation bank is please see our interactive donation map.
