Last week the SCP were featured on BBC One Points West to showcase the ongoing partnership with the British Heart Foundation as students move out of their term-time accommodation in Bath.
SCP on BBC Points West
Ghika Savva (SCP Manager), Benji Orford Thompson (SU Community Officer at the University of Bath), Cllr Kevin Guy (Leader of the B&NES Council), and local students were interviewed to discuss the charities’ Pack for Good Campaign as part of the annual SCP Moving Out Campaign.
Benji Orford Thompson said the scheme was a “great way to give back and not just discard to a landfill” and Ghika Savva explained that the joint campaign is a good way for students to donate items they can’t take with them when moving home at the end of the academic year.
The donation banks will be in place until the end of July and you can donate any good quality clothing and shoes, utensils and homeware, books, DVDs, CDs, and bric-a-brac. To find where your nearest donation bank is, please visit the SCP Donations Map.
You can read the article here, and find more information about the annual campaign on the SCP website, or from the Bath & North East Somerset Council.
