The strategy is formed of several principles:

Making Bath a great place to live

  • Housing that is suitable and accessible for all residents
  • City building and development that puts residents’ wellbeing first
  • Transport across the city that works for everyone
  • Health and public services that meet residents’ needs
  • Everyone feels respected and safe in their home and street

Connecting Communities

  • Students and residents feeling an equal part of stronger, more welcoming neighborhoods’
  • All local residents have a voice in local decision making
  • A welcoming culture that includes and represents everyone
  • Recognising that local residents are also students

A Thriving City

  • Safe and fairly paid local employment
  • A welcoming, vibrant and varied cultural scene

A lifelong partnership

  • Today’s students are tomorrow’s residents
  • Students act as ambassadors for Bath

The Universities, Colleges, and Council are interested in hearing your views on the principles and strategy, and about your experiences living in the city.
