The SCP’s #GotYaBack campaign was developed by Bath College students to keep their friends safe after an increase in incidents in the River Avon.

The ‘Got Ya Back’ message is, literally have your friends back! We all love having fun, it’s just about doing it safely.

On a night out make sure you:

  • know how you are getting home
  • stick with your friends, but swap phone numbers in case you get separated
  • create an ICE contact on your phone
  • install the what3words app so you can communicate your location to emergency services if necessary

For more information visit #GotYaBack.

If you find yourself in an emergency on a night out, lose your phone or wallet, or cannot get home – then call 01225 464646.

Quote “Safe Taxi Scheme” and show your library card when getting in the taxi so the driver has your student number. You will be sent an email asking for repayment by the SU the following month, and you have 48 hours to settle the payment. For more information go to Safe Taxi Scheme.

The scheme can be used any day from 10.00pm to 5.00am up to a maximum fare of £20.

Taxis will be able to take you to your student address, the hospital or the police.

The University has signed up to Drug and Alcohol Impact to adopt a harm reduction policy towards drugs and alcohol.
